Scott Ian Speaking Words -- Ottawa, Ontario -- February 27th, 2014

Venue: The Ritual
No opening act, approx. 125 people there

I wasn't originally going to this as I was at BTBAM the previous night in Mtl and couldn't afford it, but a buddy offered to pay for the tix as a bday gift, so naturally I took him up on the offer and MAN was it a fun time!!!

Scott came on around 9 and talked for a good 2.5 hrs including a Q+A period and man did we laff for the whole time!!! He had some great stories about his relationship and first time meeting Lemmy, touring with Slayer, his relationship with Dimebag, drunken debaucheries and the ultimate pranks he and Dime did to each other and about some of his early career how Anthrax got started. Dude had some really funny stuff and some really kewl drawings in a slide show of the stories he was telling. Some people get all caught up in the "rockstardom" of people, but while listening to him, he really is a down to earth guy and he was just like us before too

There was a separate meet n greet package that was $30 more than regular tix, but we didn't do that. I talked to a friend who did and she said they were there for a good 45 mins or so afterwards and it was just as fun as the show itself. He had a hoodie and 2 diff t-shirts, not much to them though, but they were cheap ($35 and $20 respectively). He has enjoyed doing these so much that he is considering doing it further on and somehow incorporating playing some riffs and stuff on the guitar as well.

Anyone who is thinking of going to see this or on the fence, GO! It was really worth the $20 to see and hear one of the pioneers of metal and partake in another aspect of his career. If he is going to bring his guitar and stuff next time, and he said hed come back to Ottawa too (confirmed to me by the promoter after), I'll def go see him again!

Oh and he did "unofficially unannounced confirm-but he didn't say it" that Anthrax will be on the Motorboat Cruise and they are most likely going to be at Heavy MTL this Aug too!!

Chicago had the opening night of the tour but it was also the opening night of the Comeback Kid tour so I went to that instead. Had a cousin go to the Scott Ian show and said it was great and our show was about 3 hours.

They'll probably move it to general chat where it belongs.
