Trampled Under Hoof might be the last song I would wanna hear off Remission, or any of the Call of the Mastodon material for that matter.
And Baroness is doing the "you better like our new album" set like they've been doing for the past 5 years.
Gojira only got 30 minutes
/rant
Probably still a killer fucking show, but the other side of the internet I obviously have some gripes

Of course, three 75-minute sets from each of these bands would be the best.
Guess I just didn't see it that way 'til this tour was announced. I forget where Baroness last played when they headlined in the US but Gojira was doing The Fillmore in SF a year ago, so it's not like Gojira ain't doing good for themselves.

Oh, no doubt. Gojira is doing OK for themselves for sure, but I think they've hit somewhat of a plateau as far as audiences are concerned (again, European audiences might disagree), whereas Baroness's star is definitely still on the rise almost everywhere in the world.

You know that's because he actually contributed vocals to the track on Leviathan, right?

EDIT: They did the same thing back in 2007 when Mastodon was touring for Blood Mountain, too.

I would give up my left nut to see Neil Fallon sing his bit on Blood and Thunder with Mastodon. Gonna have to see that video later, I didn't think he was still capable of that insane kinda growly voice he used on Blood and Thunder and Blast Tyrant.

Can absolutely guarantee that this is NOT the case in Vancouver, and probably the rest of Canada as well. Maybe in the USA.

Gojira sells out every time they play here. For instance, last year this included a ~1300 person show in January and an ~750 person show in November (a one-off from their Slayer tour where they played a lot of their early, more straightforward death metal-y material. No touring support bands).

When Baroness was here, they played the same venue that Gojira did for round 2 and I'd be shocked if it the place was at any higher than 75% capacity.

Anyway that Mastodon set kicks balls. I think I'm gonna have to travel down to Seattle for that Mastodon/Gojira/Kvelertak tour. Too fucking good.
