27.I Am Legend

Released In 2007

I Am Legend is one of those movies that could have been bad, but ended up being an incredible movie.I love post-apocalyptic stuff, and this movie made it a little bit different. It had some pretty suspenseful moments, especially during the scene where Robert first encounters the Darkseekers. To me this is Will Smith's best movie he's been in so far, and probably ever will be.Not much more to say other than it's an awesome movie and if you've never watched it, you should really check it out.

Favorite character: I know Robert is really the only main character in the movie, but I really loved Sam (I have a German Shepherd that looks just like him).

Favorite quote:
Neville: [talking to Anna about Bob Marley] He had this idea. It was kind of a virologist idea. He believed that you could cure racism and hate... literally cure it, by injecting music and love into people's lives. When he was scheduled to perform at a peace rally, a gunman came to his house and shot him down. Two days later he walked out on that stage and sang. When they asked him why - He said, "The people, who were trying to make this world worse... are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness."

Favorite scene: First encounter with the Darkseekers.

Favorite song off soundtrack: Epilogue

Will Smith will never best his career-defining glory from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Definitely this, but to be fair he did say, "Will Smith's best movie," which I also don't agree with.

If by I Am Legend you mean Independence Day, then I'll agree. One of my favorite movies to give the surround sound a workout with.

I didn't enjoy Amazing Spider-Man too much, but it was okay.

I Am Legend is only really average. Some cool moments, but that's about it. If you're into post-apocalyptic films, The Road, Dawn of the Dead/Day of the Dead and Twelve Monkeys will show you how it's really done.

I like I Am Legend enough, but it wouldn't come close to a top 30.

And I'll throw 28 Days Later into the "post-apocalyptic" ring. I love The Book of Eli too, but I know that wasn't so popular.
