Metalachi -- Redlands, CA -- February 5th, 2014

Venue: Hangar 24 Brewery
Source: me

This was a free show at the Hangar 24 Brewery in Redlands, CA. I've always wanted to visit the brewery and this gave me a great reason to. This was the fourth or fifth time that I've seen Metalachi and they put on a great show as usual. If you haven't heard them, check them out. They are the only mariachi/metal cover band that exists today. They played three sets there were about 35 minutes long. My only complaint was the stage set up. They have a really big draw, so I expected it to be extremely crowded, but there was no real stage, so I couldn't see the band from 10 feet away due to everyone blocking me. The only way to get a clear view was to go outside the venue and watch from the street, but that meant no beer while watching. I recognized most of the songs they played but I don't remember the name of a few of them. There were a lot of random mariachi songs thrown in between songs. They are hysterical live, so check them out if they come your way.

That's a set I'd like to see any covers band play. Maybe not one based on heavy metal Chinese tea though

1/12 Judas Priest
3/12 Deep Purple
5/12 Dan Patlansky
11/12 Dead Daisies
