Everyone is failing to realize, this is Summers Laughter tour.... no matter who plays, the name itself brings out a big crowd.

Yeah I don't understand why Morbid Angel wouldn't headline if they were on this. they aren't the kind of guys to open for anyone in the states anymore.

And again people are failing to realize it's not the order of the bands, but the actual bands on the tour that matters.

Nah nig say Suicide Silence is direct support then MA hits the stage. It would def be emptier for MA. Morbid Angel would benefit more if they were direct support for a headlining act that draws a crowd.

it's true. suicide silence should headline. their direct support should be a crashed motorcycle.

i would hope MPF understands this and more meant he doesnt understand why some people think MA cant headline.

while it may seem more beneficial for MA to take a support slot, and may seem likely that kids would clear out if MA was playing last, as MPF says, a tour like this is more about having a strong lineup overall than having a single huge band drive the draw. which obviously seems to be the strategy for any festival package tour, but even moreso for one dealing in "extreme", hence how all these technically not big bands always end up headlining.

besides, while i wont pretend to know a whole lot about MA, david vincent strikes me as the type of dude who would let ego trump doing something beneficial.

I know they're doing a headlining run right now, but I'm thinking Children of Bodom

If Decapitated can headline SS then Morbid Angel definitely can.
