Sounds like the hype for that movie might actually be well-deserved. I've also heard good things about 22 Jump Street and HTTYD2. Since I have young kids, I'll definitely be seeing that one. Wish I would have had time to hit the local drive-in this past weekend, as Edge of Tomorrow was playing with X-Men: DOFP (and the weather here was gorgeous this weekend, too).

Wow those still exist? The last drive-in in the Denver area closed down 5 years ago...

All drive-in theaters that have existed in the NE Ohio area have closed, except for the one that's ten minutes from my house.

Transformers 4 wasn't that bad. If I have any gripe it's that it was too damn long. Over two and a half hours. But my four year old son loved it.

They are too damn long. If Bay just kept the stories simple and to the point so we could just get to the jizztastic action sequences these movies wouldnt suck as much. Just saw Dark of the Moon and by god did the talking just suck.

I never saw Dark of the Moon. I honestly wouldn't have seen this one if my boy wasn't in full blown four year old Transformer mode right now. I saw Transformers: the Motion Picture in theaters when I was six with my dad so it's my duty to see them with my boys now. Of all the movies I've seen with him there was at least something in it for me; I still do love the Transformers.

It was nice to not have to watch Megan Fox and that girl in the third one was fucking ugly (I have seen parts). So the new girl was just sort of there. There were too many bad guys, I mean lead bad guys. You had Kelsey Grammer, the boss of that corporation with the glasses, Galvitron and Lockdown. I'd have trimmed it down to two; a lead and a support villian, probably Kelsy Grammer and Lockdown. And 165 minutes...Jesus Christ, only movies with the words "rings", "of", "the" and "lord" in their titles should go that long. I hate seeing Autobots die so Ratchets death did upset me.

For some reason, the whole thing seemed to me like one of those movies that are released after a franchise has run out of steam. The movies that are released straight to video with a c-list star in the lead. Although this obviously still had a huge budget...and the jury's out on Mark Walberg and his star status. I like the guy so I had no problem with him.

I am not a car guy but some of those cars were SWEET. Those black cars the agents were driving when they were at Mark Walbergs farm (the ones that I thought would be Decepticons but weren't), damn those were awesome. And Lockdown and the three Autobots were sweet too. I knew I knew Hounds voice but I thought it was from some video game. It was pretty awesome that it was John Goodman.

You know what, for cheesy mindless action I thought it was good. And my boy LOVED it (GRIMLOCK DADDY!!!!!) so mission accomplished.
