I understand why bands do that though. Once the date is confirmed there's no reason for them to keep it quiet. Get it out there as soon as you can since it may help with ticket sales. A lot of people get facebook/e-mail updates when bands are coming to their area. That has a lot to do with why you see random dates pop up more now instead of the whole tour itinerary. It annoys me a bit to, but with the internet it's hard to keep a lid on things like that for too long. Especially with a more well known band like AIC.

The other reason is they know people pick and choose which dates to go to if they have more than one option. Doing this artificially inflates the sales for certain shows if people don't know whether they'll have other options and don't want to miss out.

They do the same across Europe.
