Amon Amarth US Winter tour 2014

2 unknown support acts have been set. Expect an official announcement soon. The tour should run through Jan. & Feb.

Just a guess but I think In Solitude could be one of the support acts.

In Solitude would make a lot of sense, actually. Fellow Swedes, label-bros, etc.

It's been a while since I saw Amon Amarth so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

It also would not surprise me to see Behemoth play. They pushed back their album release until about the time this tour happens. Probably just coincidence.

Admittedly I'm not sure what the precise popularity levels are like for these bands, but I'd imagine that Behemoth would be able to co-headline with Amon Amarth, yeah?

That would be a ridiculously stacked bill!

I'd also be really stoked if they brought someone like Melechesh or Rotting Christ out on the road with them.

Rotting Christ would get me there. Albeit seems unlikely. I didn't have a car the last two times they played Massachusetts.

I remember hoping to see Amon Amarth on the metal gods tour in 2003. I ended up being disappointed to see Behemoth because AA had dropped off. In retrospect I probably should've appreciated getting to see Behemoth back then a little more.

I have never seen a band who I've only been slightly familiar with that blew me away as much as Amon Amarth. I'll be going as long as it isn't too much trouble because I'm a lot more familiar with them now.

I think with their new album and Mayhem Fest stint that AA is really popular right now for the type of music they play. I can see Behemoth as co-headliner but I think AA would close the show every night.

You sure got that right, just saw that the new album debuted at 19 on the Billboard Top 200 here in the US.That was a huge shocker to see that in the top 20 along side artists like Darius Rucker, Justin Timberlake, not to mention it beat the Pitch Perfect Soundtrack (which was in the 20th spot).

Amon Amarth are making an announcement tomorrow. I imagine this is what it's for.
