Same here. It's the fucking SkyDome. Why couldn't they have just changed it to Rogers SkyDome? It's the perfect name for it.

Also, I still call it the Warehouse. Kool Haus is fucking dumb.

The only reason I know it's pronounced that way is because they advertise heavily over here. Up until I heard the ads, I pronounced it as it was spelled. San-Tan-Der.

According to a quick search, Sovereign changed all bank & arena names to Santander to promote a more "global friendly" presence. The change officially took place on October 17th.

In my workplace, it's an oxygen sensor.

It's actually pronounced San-tan-dare. They're Spanish. Seems like they're just taking over other nations' banks. Here they bought Abbey National.

Nissan Pavillion in DC became Jiffy Lube Live back in 2010.

And the amphitheater in Virginia Beach, VA used to be the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and now it's Farm Bureau Live.

Been there. It amuses me how America treats their amphitheatres like airports. "Hmm, which major city is it nearest to? Great, let's pretend that's where it is then."

A few are better than others. With the one in Philly (Camden, NJ ) at least you can see Philly across the river. The one in DC (Manassas, VA) is probably the furthest from the city center I've ever seen.

I think the Staples Center in Los Angeles has been called that since at least 2000.
