2. March 22 @ El Corazon w/ Nile

Just barely nudging the Morbid Angel show out of number two would be opening for Nile. It isn't every day that you get to share the stage with one of the best drummers in the whole world... it also isn't every day that someone throws their sweatshirt at you while your playing a show.... . Well at this show, both of those things happened! I think the crowd was just A LITTLE more on fire at this one then they were at Morbid Angel..... ok, a lot more. I was talking with security and they had to throw out a couple people who were fighting because the pit got so brutal during our set. I'm not tooting my own horn, but that's pretty sick.

Here is a short vid from this show...

1. June 1 @ Uncle Samís | BJ Annette Memorial Show

Topping off my list is one of the most memorable shows of the year, the First Annual BJ Annette Memorial "Fest". This was an all day fest organized by WADM/NYDM to pay tribute to one of the nicest, most caring, and greatest guys in the metal community, BJ. I was really great friends with him, and he helped me through some rough times. He was also great friends with our singer, who mentioned that if it weren't for BJ, he wouldn't have a band. So it was awesome to play such a great and meaningful show. Plus, it was outside, which has a whole different feeling than playing inside a building!
