Better than expected. Except for Deafhaven at number 1, I wouldn't say this list is really trendy.

It really seems like they're trend hopping giving Sunbather #1. I looked in the issue of RS where they reviewed Sunbather and they didn't even give it a very high rating.

And since when is Melt Banana metal?

Yeah it's complete trend hoping. They gave Sunbather a 3/5. It's fuckig dumb. Because if a 3/5 is the best metal album of the year, what does that tell their readers about the other metal records?
