Clutch -- Detroit, MI -- November 23rd, 2013

Unfortunately I could not see Every Time I Die in Detroit on Saturday night, but hey, having 2 good shows to choose from is a great problem to have. I can't complain. I did not see any of the opening bands because I coach a youth b-ball team, and we had a game that night. Oh well. This was the last show of Clutch's current tour, and it was sold out. Clutch is one of those bands that you could put on tour w/ almost any other bands, and they'd win the crowd over. They're such excellent musicians. I spent most of their set just watching their drummer. That guy is amazing! To me, he's a lot like Morgan from Sevendust or Danny from Tool in that he's such an incredible drummer, yet he makes it look so effortless. Anyway, I can never really complain about a Clutch show or a setlist. It's always fun. I am extremely happy, though, that they played a few of my favorite jams of theirs ("The Regulator," "Electric Worry," and especially "Gravel Road."). Fantastic show, and I can't wait to see Clutch again soon. Setlist:

The Soapmakers
Gravel Road
Earth Rocker
Unto The Breach
DC Sound Attack
The House That Peterbilt
Oregon
Subtle Hustle
Gone Cold
50,000 Unstoppable Watts
Crucial Velocity
The Dragonfly
The Regulator
Spacegrass
The Face
The Wolfman Kindly Requests...
--encore--
The Mob Goes Wild
Electric Worry / One Eye Dollar
