I think Jason Butler is a pehnominal vocalist personally, and Letlive remind me of a more jam-y Glassjaw meets Deftones.

though the vocals can be a little to extreme for me some times

He's a good vocalist it's just that its almost like he puts energy above vocals. There are just so many parts he half asses to be jumping around and just not singing at all.

Then you look at like ETID who are constantly jumping around and stuff and don't skip a beat.

I love letlive and all but I can't help but get the feeling they try a bit too hard to be over-the-top.

Jason is about the stage antics. Last night he sang into a shoe, stage dove, sang with no mic, put his shirt over his head and sang etc.

In the end what matters is both bands are fucking fun live and sound solid.
