Pop Evil -- Quincy, MA -- November 23rd, 2013

This was a "Low Dough Show" put on by the local rock station (WAAF).
Only $5 for Pop Evil, with The Letter Black, Eve To Adam, and Black Oxygen.

I missed Black Oxygen. Worked my way up to the stage during Eve To Adam's set. Not too bad, but not too great either. Up next was The Letter Black. They were decent, but I'm just not a fan of women singing metal. It just doesn't work for me for some reason.

Pop Evil was up after a little technical issue with the monitors that took a while to sort out. I wasn't really familiar with their music, but they were really high energy and got the crowd into it. The guitarist, Nick Fuelling, handed me a pick after the last song, so my collection expands!

(I don't know the setlists for the opening bands)

SETLIST:

1. Deal With The Devil
2. Hero
3. Flawed
4. Somebody Like You
5. 100 In a 55
6. Torn To Pieces
7. Goodbye My Friend
8. Sick Sense
9. Boss's Daughter
10. Divide
11. Behind Closed Doors
12. Monster You Made
13. Last Man Standing
14. Eye Of The Tiger (Survivor cover)
15. Trenches

$5 to much for them. I do like 100 in a 55 though.

Had to sit through them once in 2009 when they opened for Priest & Whitesnake. That was more than enough.

I see AAF is still awful.

I saw Pop Evil once at a radio fest and walked away (along with 3/4ths of the crowd) after a few songs.

The song Hero is all I ever liked from them. It sucks that everything else they have done sucks.
