Well, this is my half-way-through-the-year report. I have listened to 75 (one will not be included in the list, because it is an interpretation of Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons ) albums I have never listened to that many albums in a current year before, let alone in a year that is only half over. I will never list this many bands in a single post, and my end of the year thread will by no means be this lengthy. Here goes.

And All Placements are subject to change. Something in a lower rank may suddenly click, or something in a higher rank may not have a long shelf life.

I can come back and explain my reasoning for my positions thus far later.

Anopheli is dope as fuck, hope you enjoy it. Awesome list man ! You're putting in way more work than I ever have. Disappointed you didn't dig Cities Abiv too much but it's completely understandable, really. You should definitely check out the new Lantlos record. Contender for AOTY, currently jamming it harder than I jammed new thou or cormorant

Edit: Seems you already checked out Lantlos... I can read

I don't know how some of you guys manage to listen to so many new releases. I can't even think of 50 releases that I've been interested in hearing so far this year. Maybe I am picky about what I check out, but to get to that number I'd have to be ranking everything that has the slightest relevance to my taste.

I gotta say Chasing The Dream seems way to low on your list for me.... I would go back to it if you haven't.

I often wonder if they pay for them or stream them.
