1. Edguy - Space Police - Defenders of the Crown
2. Skull Fist - Chasing The Dream
3. Gamma Ray - Empire of the Undead
4. Monument - Renegades
5. Primal Fear - Delivering The Black
6. Exmortus - Slave To The Sword
7. Lost Society - Terror Hungry
8. Sabbatory - Endless Asphyxiating Gloom
9. Vindicator - Sleeping With Evil
10. Paranorm - The Edge of Existence

I think the only bands with a shot at dethroning Edguy are HammerFall, Dragonforce, Crimson Shadows, and Borealis. Hopefully one of those does it, because my lists are getting predictable

Also, just found a couple more cool records:

Ancient Empire - s/t - This comes out late next month and is for fans of USPM/heavy metal. Solid riffs and solos, and the singer is the guy that sung for Rocka Rollas/Shadowkiller. Nothing too spectacular, but fans of Attacker and others should like this.

Starblind - Darkest Horrors - Very solid Iron Maiden worship. Should release around the same time as Ancient Empire. This one definitely has a few really memorable tracks on it, though it probably won't top many year-end lists.

Edit: Insomnium actually grew on me a lot. I forgot that on my list. Should be somewhere around 7 or 8.

The bottom of my list is changing so much it probably will change again by next week. It's a weird year for me. The only records I see as locks for my top 10 are EMA and St. Vincent while everything else can be between 3 and off the list completely.

Just got it tonight and it is phenomenal. A much different approach but sounds just like Lantlos. There is some real heaviness and of course the Atmospheric Black Metal that we all know and love. I really dig it.

I thought the track they released a few months back sounded very little like older Lantlos in the best way possible. They're going full-out shoegaze in the best way possible.

Oh it's very very different, like you said in the best way possible, but it still sounds like Lantlos.
