They're great and from Santa Fe which is like 40 mins from me. Finally have a really great local act from my state.

I haven't been listening to too much new stuff lately but here's what I liked so far. I've only heard most of these albums once so I can't really rank them. The top 5 are all albums that might be my favorite but I have to give them a few more listens.

Top 5:
Behemoth - The Satanist
Indian - From All Purity
Gridlink - Longhena
Marissa Nadler - July
Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation

Other stuff that was pretty good:
Have a Nice Life - The Unnatural World
Cities Aviv - Come to Life
The Men - Tommorrow's Hits

EPs: (both free on bandcamp)
Grizzlor - We're All Just Aliens (dope noise rock group)
Y.O.D.A. - It's Gone Too Far (makethemsuffer12's comedic slam band)

Been spinning 'Conquering Dystopia'. It's pretty solid, if just exactly what you'd expect from a Jeff Loomis instrumental record.

Going to move onto the Intervals record in a bit.

I'm kind of bummed TonyD and I missed most of their set in January while waiting in line for a beer. The song or two I saw was fucking awesome.

Hip-hop fans check out the Freddie Gibbs/Madlib collaboration Pinata. Beats are insane and Gibbs absolutely spits over these beats. Chillest gangsta rap record I've ever heard.
