I read the Goddamn Gallows at first and was excited you gave them a chance...then I realized you said something else.

Thanks! I hope Graves at Sea will come down to LA soon. I saw them in 2006 and they were so amazing.

They're playing in Oakland with Eyehategod and a bunch of local openers next Saturday. I'd like to swing it but it depends on if my friend has the night off or not.

I was bummed Graves at Sea wasn't playing the LA show last week. On the other hand, I am super lucky with EHG playing four times in my area on this tour.

I think I found my album of the year. Holy MOSES, it's like a continuation of his first solo record which if anyone knows is everything anyone could ever want out of a metal/AOR record. There's a couple of throwaway tracks to be sure, but the majority of this record is giving me orgasms.

I didn't have high hopes for this album based on the theme alone, but it turned out I was 100% wrong, and I LOVE when that happens.

Standout tracks
Blind
Must Be Dreaming
The Last Days Of Rain
This Could Go On Forever
I Sing Myself Away - one of those 'soft going home' type of songs that really surprised me

Soreption, Technical Death Metal from Sweden, album comes out 2/14

Pretty solid, reminds me of Decapitated in a way. Checked out their first full length from 2010, and it was pretty solid, too.
