Kreator -- Montreal, QC -- November 2nd, 2013

Great show last night in a sold out Club Soda (attendance of 1000). The place was packed like I've never seen before.

First on were Warbringer, I was pretty happy to see them live for the first time as I have their first 3 albums and I enjoyed their type of music quite a bit. They were pretty good and they gave their all on stage. I thought that it would have been better for some reason. Not that it was bad by any means but I didn't really get into them last night. Everybody on the floor was really into it though. Good pits and all.

Warbringer

1. Leaving Weapon
2. Total War
3. Severed Reality
4. The Turning Of The Gears
5. Towers Of The Serpent
6. Black Sun, Black Moon
7. Scars Remains
8. Combat Shock

after that the place got packed up to the roof to witness the madness of the mighty Overkill. It was my first time seeing them, and I was not disappointed. They came on and the place exploded. I would say that at least a good 1/3 of the crowd were there for them if not half (judged roughly by the amounts of t-shirts worn of each band), but everybody really liked it. I really enjoyed their set. I knew a few songs ( RTTC, Hammerhead, Necroshine etc..) everything they played was really good and the crowd was just really going at it. The floor was just one big moshpit. One funny thing is I was on the balcony and I managed to get a pic of D.D. from up there. He threw it and it fell in the stairs, nobody saw it for a few songs so I finally went and picked it up. All in all great fun.

Overkill

1. Deny The Cross
2. Bring Me The Night
3. Electric Rattlesnake
4. Hammerhead
5. Rotten To The Core
6. Hello From The Gutter
7. Necroshine
8. Ironbound
9. Thanx For Nothin'
10. Elimination
11. Overkill

12. The Green And Black
13. Fuck You

Then after a good hour to do the change over of the bands (they share the same drum riser so they have to put Overkill's drum away and assemble Ventor's drum kit and do a full soundcheck on it) that almost killed the mood but not really. So finally the intro 'Mars Mantra' came on and the club soda transformed itself into a big warzone for the next 75 minutes. It was my 4 th time seeing them and they always deliver. But I think last night was cooler just because of the turnout. The setlist was all stuff I have already got live but what can you say, it's fucking Kreator.

Kreator

intro - Mars Mantra
1. Phantom Antichrist
2. From Flood Into Fire
3. Warcurse
4. Coma Of Souls (like the first minute only) \ Endless Pain
5. Pleasure To Kill
6. Hordes Of Chaos (A Necrologue For The Elite)
7. Riot Of Violence
8. Enemy Of God
9. Phobia
10. The Patriarch \ Violent Revolution
11. Accoustic guitar solo (Sami) \ United In Hate

12. Civilisation Collapse
13. Flag Of Hate \ Tormentor

ps.: I got help for Warbringer and Overkill set from setlist fm. And on the setlist fm Kreator set they wrote that 'Death To The World' was played and it was not played.

Cheers !

Hmm, now I'm debating skipping this. Shorter sets than I was hoping for. Deny the Cross and Thanx for Nothin' would be super great to see, as would Riot of Violence but I've seen just about everything else. A slog through SoCal traffic to Anaheim isn't too enticing either.

Also a Kreator set without Extreme Aggression is so wrong.

I'm glad Overkill got 13 songs when not headlining, other sets on setlist.fm for this tour were worrying me and only showing 8. And a Kreator set without People of the Lie is also wrong.
