Except for when The Pecan Tree hits the 4:25 mark.

Agreed, while they use black metal techniques I feel like their compositions have dark parts but ultimately move towards more 'uplifting' elements and for the most part lack feeling of total despair that most Scandinavian BM brings. I think a big part of their wide appeal is that there is something to their sound that feels life affirming.

Im not saying corpse paint is necessarily bad thing.... Only that it isnt my thing. If you feel more comfortable putting on white face paint and making yourself look like a zombie or something, uhh.. more power to you? I feel more comfortable in the clothes I wear and without face paint because that's who I am. I don't go to concerts to make a fashion statement, I go to listen to the music and see the performance for bands that I like.
A good example is Ihsahn's solo bad. They look like a bunch "hipsters" or "indie kids", not metal in the slightest, which is great!

Real bath salts. My grandma got me a spa treatment and a gift card for the place and the girl at the counter said they'd "make a bath feel like heaven on earth" so I picked up a box along with a new razor.

The razor is amazing but the bath salts didn't do fuck all

I forgot that no other black metal band has lighter interludes in their songs.

Only Blasphemy and Teitanblood are real
