Question for fans of Chthonic...

Should I go for the English or Taiwanese versions of their albums? I wanna give their latest album a listen since the few songs from these guys i've heard on youtube are pretty good. Probably a stupid question, but i'm curious what's considered the more "authentic" or does it really matter since a lot of the lyrics are indecipherable anyways? I mean, I know that as a Rammstein fan I wouldn't go for English versions of those albums if they existed, so maybe non-Taiwanese Chthonic fans feel the same way?

I guess the bigger issue here is less the lyrics in the songs themselves, and more the tracklistings being in English and all that. I know I can always just change the ID3 tags in such a scenario, but i'm fucking lazy.

For future reference, these kind of threads would be better suited for the General Chat section.

I don't really think it matters. I have the Taiwan version of Seediq Bale and as far as I know there are no major differences.

I have both versions of their last 3 albums (excluding the newest one that just came out) and I think the vocals on the Taiwanese versions go with the music better than the English versions. You won't be able to understand what he says anyways, so stick to the Taiwan versions.

Interesting. I guess another important question is what versions do they sing when they play live?

Sorry about the sub-forum choice, if someone could move this to General chat that'd be grand.

They do the English versions live when they tour here.
