Amnesia Rockfest -- Montebello, Quebec -- June 14th-15th, 2013

Venue: Marina de Montebello (outdoor)

Here are some sets I've gathered throughout the weekend and the list (in order of appearance) of the bands I saw with ratings. The organisation was awful: I waited in line for 3 hours in order to get my bracelet on friday, which made me miss Mad Caddies, Polar Bear Club, Less Than Jake, The Flatliners and Millencolin. Also, H2O, Discharge and Cro-Mags didn't play and Trapped Under Ice was switched to another spot without any notice. There was nearly zero communication with the attendance: the schedule was all scrambled up on saturday and it was difficult to guess who was playing when. Thus, the sound on the main stage sucked for most bands and I heard that the attribution of the official camping spots was fucked up too and there was a big controversy around local bands having to pay to play at the festival, so here's a big fuck you to Alex Martel and the other organizers of the festival. However, I still had a great time camping and drinking with my friends - I must have slept about 3 hours of the 48 - and seeing some great sets.

My brother/dad went to this and had a lot of the same comments you did. They paid for a camping spot and didn't end up getting one. They had to camp in some guy's backyard. They also waited about two and a half hours in line for their wristbands and missed two bands that my brother wanted to see.

I didn't hear about Discharge and Cro-Mags not playing, but had I gone to this (I would have if it weren't for school), I would have been really angry about that.

It's a shame how poorly that festival was run with an ace line-up like that. I heard it was insanely unorganized: lack of security, port-a-potties, parking, and more. Good to see you had a good time, and thanks for the setlists!

Also, I came across this article concerning the Rockfest if anyone wants to read: http://vakarme.org/2013/06/15/chroni...e-of-rockfest/

Bummer to hear that the fest was poorly run. Glad you had a good time though! There were so many great bands that played this, Cryptopsy with Lord Worm must have been awesome!

Pretty cool that Lord Worm came out for a few Cryptopsy songs. How did he sound? I saw Dillinger Escape Plan in NYC a few years ago where their old singer did a couple songs and he was out of breath in seconds. Out of practice I guess ha ha.

I don't think he could have done a whole show. He was brutal, but Matt's voice was way louder than his.
