No matter what, Running Free will never get as bad as Wrathchild and Sanctuary.

The LA show is honestly just going to be an excuse to hang out with friends. A ton of folks I know are coming down for the show, so really it's just gonna be a lawn party with metal playing in the background.

What's this shit with people being disappointed that it's the same set? It's the same tour as last year, so why wouldn't it be the same? It's not like they're playing the same places this year either. Most people going will be seeing this show for the first time, so why shouldn't they get the same near perfect setlist that North America got last summer?

If you've seen Maiden live then you shouldn't have to question why a lot of fans do that for them.

BANDS WORTH SEEING MORE THAN ONE TIME ON THE SAME TOUR:
Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam

reasons: they play different set lists, some of them play something special depending on the town they're in etc...

BANDS NOT WORTH SEEING MORE THAN ONE TIME ON THE SAME TOUR:
Iron Maiden and practically every other band

reason: they play the same set list

Just kidding...go see your favorite bands as much as you want. If you're a hardcore fan and never get tired of the same sets more power to you.

I like it better when bands change their setlists but I don't think that they SHOULD change their setlists...In the end they play to new people every night right? But don't they get bored playing the same 10-20 songs on a tour of 40+ dates? Any musicians here that can answer that?

I'm not a musician but my guess is that it's just like one of us going in to work and doing the same tasks everyday. Playing songs live is a bands job and just like we do the same thing at work everyday, they do the same thing. Plus, i'm sure a lot of musicians enjoy it when they can play the songs right every night. I think a lot of them see it as a challenge to get every note right each time and their satisfaction comes from that and that's why they may not get as bored with the same songs as we think they do.

This reminds me of what Neil Peart from Rush said about playing Tom Sawyer all the time. He said he enjoys playing it every show because it's a difficult song to get right and when he gets it right it makes him feel good.
