Movies that could actually benefit from a reboot

After watching the trailer for Poltergeist (a movie that is perfectly fine the way it is), I wondered why they don't take some movies that aren't too great and give it another shot?

Alien vs. Predator should have been awesome. Why didn't they do a film adaptation of the original comic series? That would have been so kick ass.

There was talk of Ben Affleck directing a new version of Stephen King's The Stand a few years back, whatever happened to that? Affleck has directed some great movies, and I think he'd do a great job. The original TV mini-series wasn't really all too bad, I just think it could make an awesome trilogy of movies.

With all the comic book movies coming out, Spawn seriously needs to make a comeback. That awful 1997 movie just doesn't cut it. The animated series was fucking AWESOME, and I think a modern day take on those storylines would make for some excellent movies.

I didn't dig either one. They need to just forget those movies existed to me and redo it right. the last one was better than the first but neither did the character justice.

Tom hardy said recently he wants to do it. Hell, I am all for it.

My only concern about it happening now is that Disney owns Marvel and Well, anyone who knows the Punisher knows he kills people, a lot. So I don't know if that would fly. And if they license him out to someone else it may not be Marvel quality.

Gotta say. I'm onboard w/ saying that the 1st Punisher was a pretty solid movie. I didn't waste my time on the 2nd but I really enjoyed that first one.

I loved Punisher War Zone way more than the first one. Over the top, really well shot fight scenes that gave the feel of the punisher comics instead of a gritty realistic style. It's a dumb, fun action movie made by smart people, if that makes sense.
