Rush -- Uncasville, CT -- May 9th, 2013

Yet another amazing performance from Rush! This was my 6th time seeing them and have never been disappointed!

I have seen them twice on the CA tour and while I was skeptical about the string section when they announced it, I have to admit that it adds quite a bit of color and depth to the songs.

Tonight's show seemed to have quite a bit more pyro than I recall them ever using before as well.

Set 1:
Video Intro (Gearing Up)

1. Subdivisions
2. The Big Money
3. Force 10
4. Grand Designs
5. Limelight
6. Territories
7. Analog Kid
8. The Pass
9. Where's My Thing (with drum solo)
10. Far Cry

Intermission

Set 2:
Video Intro (The Appointment)

11. Caravan
12. Clockwork Angels
13. The Anarchist
14. Carnies
15. The Wreckers
16. Headlong Flight (with drum solo)
17. Halo Effect (with guitar solo intro)
18. Wish Them Well
19. The Garden
20. Dreamline
21. The Percussor (drum solo)
22. Red Sector A
23. YYZ
24. The Spirit of Radio

Encore:

25. Tom Sawyer
26. 2112 Overture/Temples of Syrinx/Grand Finale

Video Outro (Office Of The Watchmaker)

Limelight instead of Middletown. For shame.

Totally agree, if that would have happened at the show I saw last year I would have been pissed. I hope it doesn't happen to me this summer either, don't know why they are throwing that in sometimes.

Yeah, shame on them for playing one of their biggest hits. I know where you guys are coming from though. These are markets that Rush has not played in awhile, correct?

Yeah, they played a song you didn't want them to at a show you didn't attend. How disappointed you must be

They're still doing the roatation of LL, TBE and Middletown at every show, so what's the big deal?

Yes and no.

I know when they originally announced the summer leg they said it would be their first time back in Grand Rapids and Halifax in nearly 20 years. Not sure of any other markets though.

But as far as CT, no way. Rush loves Connecticut. Since they regrouped in 2002: Twice during Vapor Trails, once during R30, twice during Snakes & Arrows, once during Time Machine & twice on the current tour. 5 of the 8 shows were at Mohegan.

They even played their first show after regrouping in Hartford. Of all places though.... why Connecticut??
