There's every Slayer lyric summed up, rearrange and come up with your own new album! I love them with a passion, but the lyrics aren't exactly Robert Frost material here, so it makes sense that Kerry could've written 48 sets of lyrics by himself.

You forgot "war".

The point is you have to take your opinion of a band's music out of it when comparing the two situations and look at them objectively. Both bands had integral members pass away who both appeared to write the majority of the music for those bands. Both bands have decided to continue to play on. And people get up in arms about one and not the other.

That's like saying "why is everyone up in arms about Ronnie James Dio dying, and no one seems to care about the guy from Suicide Silence."... Because one is a legend and the other is NOT.
So, you don't like Slipknot? Awesome. Stop shitting on people's idols because you want to feel 'metal' on the internet.

Can we please stop comparing musicians dying to each other? They're all tragic in their own way.

On point, I say fair dues to Slayer continuing as a live entity. I'll rate an album when it comes, but I don't expect it to be up to much. I'm glad I get to see Slayer again and pay tribute to Jeff the best way I can think of, in a Slayer pit!

So you clearly missed the point of my post about taking your opinion out of it and looking at these objectively.

And i've heard plenty of Slayer. The stuff that was included on Guitar Hero and stuff is probably among their better material.

I'm a Christian, but Christians like that piss me the fuck off! Don't they have any damn respect? I posted on a couple of Slayer Facebook fansites that the fans should crank some Slayer by the protestors and start super insane mosh pits!

They didn't. It was just a publicity stunt.
