It's a rainy one in St. Louis today, should taper off by show time, though.

Holy Christ! Just got back from the St Louis show. I can die in "piece" now. I've seen the almighty!... But seriously, best show I've seen in years. Hope everyone made it home ok.

So I know this is sacrilege, but after coming back from the St. Louis show....I kinda want to say Megadeth put on a better show. Not that Maiden was bad by any means, they were excellent. But I guess I was expecting the second coming after all the hype about "best live band evar" I've been reading for years. Out of the recent "greatest hits" tours from old-ish British metal bands, I thought Judas Priest's Epitaph show was better.

I feel sorry for you because I've had Maiden hyped up for years and they exceeded my expectations.

Agreed. I've seen the Big 4, Sabbath, Priest, ACDC, Motorhead, Kiss, Pantera live and when I saw Maiden in Nashville a few nights ago it was better than the rest. It exceeded my expectations. The production was over the top, the sound was flawless and the energy was at a high level.

They run around more and have stuff to look at on stage but I've seen Maiden and Priest 3 times each and I definitely enjoy Priest more.

Same. I'm also generally way more of a Priest fan than a Maiden fan (much more variety within the Priest catalog IMO), but I find myself going apeshit or looking with this feeling of wonder with Priest whereas with Maiden I just kind of chill out and enjoy the show.

Usually vote Priest over Maiden as well, but the 2 shows this past week have brainwashed me! I could go see Maiden every day now & not get tired of it!
