Eric Clapton -- Uncasville, CT -- April 5th, 2013

Just got home from the show. One more that I can cross off my musical Bucket List! Stellar performance from Slowhand... Some ripping blues, and some really tasty acoustic numbers as well.

The Wallflowers were meh. I don't think they would have made it this far without the name recognition of Jacob Dylan!

1. Hello Old Friend
2. My Father's Eyes
3. Tell the Truth (Derek and the Dominos song)
4. Gotta Get Over
5. Black Cat Bone (Albert Collins cover)
6. Got to Get Better in a Little While
7. Tempted (Squeeze cover – Paul Carrack on lead vocals)
8. I Shot the Sheriff (Bob Marley & The Wailers cover)

Acoustic Set:
9. Driftin' Blues (Johnny Moore's Three Blazers cover)
10. Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out (Jimmy Cox cover)
11. Tears in Heaven
12. Goodnight, Irene (Lead Belly cover)
13. Wonderful Tonight

14. How Long (Ace cover - Paul Carrack on lead vocals)
15. Stones in My Passway (Robert Johnson cover)
16. Love in Vain (Robert Johnson cover)
17. Crossroads (Robert Johnson cover)
18. Little Queen of Spades (Robert Johnson cover)
19. Cocaine (J.J. Cale cover)

Encore:

20. Sunshine of Your Love (Cream song)
21. High Time We Went (Joe Cocker cover)

I would feel cheated if I saw him and Layla wasn't in the set.

I did actually! He has been rotating that one in and out on this tour for some reason. Same with "Badge", which we also did not get.

Biggest waste of money I have spent was to see Clapton. He steals money from his fans.

I was at the Atlanta show last week (we got Layla, sorry) and had a great time. That said, $96 for bad seats is a bit much...

Normally I'd agree, but he was the last person on my mom's concert bucket list. It was a good show, but honestly I wasn't terribly impressed.

It was a bit of a joke, as he covered that song on Reptile.
