Slang took me a few listens to get the feel for but I really like the album. Yeah, a number of the songs have a darker tone to them musically and lyrically but the band showed after all their success they can still deliver a mostly serious themed album which I thought was great. Keep in mind that Steve Clark died while the band was recording Adrenalize. So they never had the chance to deal with that until they stopped touring for Adrenalize and started writing for Slang. Given what happened it's easy to understand why the album has the tone it does.

If they're going to play 6 songs off of High N' Dry, Mirror Mirror should definitely be one of them.

That being said I'd actually go see them after seeing that set. Would be cool to see Me & My Wine, Rock Brigade or Wasted since they're trying to please some of us pre-pyromania fans.

I give them credit for making the effort though. I had zero interest in ever seeing Def Leppard again before seeing this.
