Question Can anyone recommend some good Pop-Punk?

despite my username I've been overly obsessed with pop-punk music lately

here is what I like
Blink 182
Simple Plan
Yellow Card
A Day To Remember
Tonight Alive
We Are In The Crowd
Against The Current
The All american Rejects (Move Along only)
Crystalyne
Reachback
Story of The Year

What I need to check out
New Found Glory
Sum 41

What I hate
Paramore
Flyleaf (some people might say but I don't consider them to be pop-punk)
Green Day

thanks

Brother, have you come to the right place. Since it seems to be mostly what you're into, here are "fun" pop punk bands:

New Found Glory - Sticks And Stones

The greatest pop punk band of all time. This is their most celebrated album. They just released a new album a few weeks ago and they're still awesome.

Masked Intruder - Masked Intruder

IMO - one of the best pop punk bands to come out in years. Super catchy, fun pop punk. Every one of their songs got stuck in my head the first time I heard 'em.

Teenage Bottlerocket - Warning Device

Biggest inspiration to Masked Intruder by far. Fast, skate/pop punk. Tony Forresta of Municipal Waste/Iron Reagan recently called them the last true punk band to play Warped Tour!

Seaway - Sabrina The Teenage Bitch

Really impressive younger pop punk band. No frills and no bullshit - just straight up pop punk. Great to sing along with.

The Story So Far - Under Soil And Dirt

My pick for the perfect pop punk album in the last five years. This album has hardcore-inspired riffs played in a pop punk style with great lyrics and great musicianship. Probably the 2nd biggest "new" pop punk going right now.

Descendants - Milo Goes To College

None of the big pop punk bands around today would be around if it wasn't for New Found Glory, blink-182 and Green Day, but those bands wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Descendants. You could easily argue this is the first pop punk album: KNOW YOUR ROOTS!

The Queers - Love Songs For The Retarded

Almost straight-up old-school punk rock - their influence on current pop punk is not nearly as well-known as it should be. It's easy to see where lots of bands get their influences from this band/this album.

Green Day - Dookie

I know you said you hate Green Day, but I sincerely hope you just mean their stuff from American Idiot and onward. Before that album, they were releasing some of the best pop punk of all time. Dookie is what gave pop punk (and really punk) mainstream acceptance.

Neck Deep - Rain In July

On the brink of becoming the next big thing. The biggest non-American pop punk band right now for sure. If you like The Story So Far, you'll dig these guys.

MxPx - Life In General

One of my favorite old-school pop punk albums. A criminally underrated band all-around. Still around today!

The Get Up Kids - Something To Write Home About

Not necessarily strictly pop punk - they're a little more on the emo side. But they went to my high school so...I gotta represent.

There's a TON more fantastic pop punk bands out there (including several of my all-time favorites), but based on what you said you like - I think this would be a good starting point for you. Pop punk has made a resurgance in the last 7 years or so - it's huge and amazing right now. Definitely the strongest it's ever been.

Hope this helps! If you want any more bands, don't hesitate to ask.

Not sure how you feel about Rise Against, or if they're considered "pop punk", but a lot of their later stuff is really poppy, catchy, and flat out good. So yeah, them.
