Alcest ‎ Souvenirs D'Un Autre Monde

Souvenirs D'Un Autre Monde
Ciel Errant
Tir Nan Og

If there actually was music created by pixies from a long lost dimension from a long lost time, it would be this album. I actually don't think there's another band out there that can even touch the style of music that Alcest does. Ethereal and beautiful and it deserves every ounce of praise it gets.

Mastodon - The Hunter

Curl Of The Burl
All The Heavy Lifting
Dry Bone Valley

This is the only Mastodon album on my list. I love all Mastodon, but I enjoyed this one from front to back much more than any of their previous albums. Stupidly heavy in parts, but also embracing their more progressive/rock side as well. I only hope their next one is in the same vein as The Hunter.

Late to the party, but great list, man.

The only album that I've heard and don't like is that Dragonforce one. I gave that album so many chances before I saw them at Ozzfest '06, but I could never get into it. Them sucking live and all my friends playing Guitar Hero 3 at my house didn't help their case either.

Dyers Eve might be my favorite Metallica song, The Hunter Rules, and you should check out Brutal Planet and Dragontown from Alice Cooper. Both are heavy as hell and Brutal Planet is my favorite album of his.

Really great list so far! Good diversity, and I like just about all of the albums on here so far, so I'll definitely keep checking this thread out. Probably won't agree on the pop-punk that is sure to be near the top though
