The Who -- Uniondale, NY -- February 21st, 2013
The show was opened by some throwback group called Vintage Trouble. They were ok.
The Who played Quadrophenia straight through without any breaks or stage banter and then capped it off with the hits. I gotta give it to Daltrey and Townshend, these guys play pretty damn well for their age. I Am the Sea The Real Me Quadrophenia Cut My Hair The Punk and the Godfather I'm One The Dirty Jobs Helpless Dancer Is It in My Head? I've Had Enough 5:15 Sea and Sand Drowned Bell Boy Doctor Jimmy The Rock Love, Reign O'er Me ----------------------- Who Are You Behind Blue Eyes Pinball Wizard Baba O'Riley Won't Get Fooled Again Tea & Theater

I saw Roger and Pete back in 2006 in Vancouver here, it was alright. Pete was runnin his english mouth the entire show no doubt. Zak Starkey (Ringo's Son) was on drums as I believe he is on this tour as well. Simon Townshend was also in the group backing up older brother Petey. I assume he's on backing duty's once again for these show's as well.
Ended up seeing Roger Waters perform Dark Side Of The Moon in Seattle 4 days after The Who show. Needless to say The Who show was just a small after thought upon seeing Waters performance. Last edited by bigguytoo9; 02-21-2013 at 10:17 PM. |

Did you guys hear the story about Pete Townsend berating and telling a seven year old girl and her father to "fuck off" the other night at the show in Hamilton?
I'm on my crappy cellphone right now but I'll try post the link later tonight.

That's hilarious! I'm sick of people bringing their little kids to concerts. I'm so sure a 7 year old is really a fan of The Who. When I was 7 I was riding my bike and playing with Hot Wheels. I didn't go to my first concert until I was 13, which to me is an appropriate age to attend your first show. But bringing tiny children to concerts is ridiculous. Let the kid be a kid. The Who is a rock band and they have foul language is a few of their songs and this guy was offended by bad language at an "all ages show." Please!

If she really was a big fan like the article says than that is pretty sad. If her dad really was just using here then fuck off with that shit. Can't stand people who use excuses such as a kid, being short, or being a girl to get special privileges at shows for no real reason.
