Between The Buried And Me -- Detroit, MI -- February 8th, 2013

Russian Circles played 1st. I'd never heard of them before. They were pretty good... an all instrumental band. It was kind of wird, though, that they litterally did not say one word to the audience. Not, Hello Detroit, thank you goodnight, we are Russian Circles," or "This song is called____."

Next up was Between The Buried And Me. They were fantastic as always. Great light show on this tour. I've seen them 5x now, and the thing I love about their live shows is that it's a totally different live set every time. You don't just get the same few songs over & over. So, it's a totally unique show every time. Here is their setlist:

Astral Body
Lay Your Ghost to Rest
Ants of the Sky
Prequel to the Sequel
Extremophile Elite
Selkies: The Endless Obsession

Coheed And Cambria headlined. This was my 3rd time seeing them, but I'm not familiar enough w/ their music to give their setlist. They were really good, too, though.

Maybe they'll start alternating between disease injury madness, and selkies. I'd take either of the two honestly.

I love that Russian Circles doesn't waste any time on stage. They just destroy and leave.

Hoping I get Selkies instead of Disease Injury Madness when I see them next month. Hopefully the fact I am seeing them the first of two nights here won't matter.
