Gojira -- St. Petersburg, FL -- February 4th, 2013
Atlas Moth - I've been a fan of this band for a while, my 3rd time seeing them, I think they are going to be the "next big thing" in stoner/sludge metal, their sound was great, the vocals were haunting, and they played all of my favorite songs of theirs, I would definitely see them again, met them after the show and got their vinyl signed by them. - 7/10
Devin Townsend Project - I have been a major fan of his ever since the SYL album "The New Black" came out years ago, and I was beyond stoked that i was finally getting to see him, to me, his performance was prefect, it was quirky, heavy and epic, he is also pretty funny as well, I also feel he is one of the few "must see" bands for all metal fans, I will definitely go see this band ever chance i get. - 10/10 Gojira - All i can say is holy freaking hell, these guys do not kid around, they were one of the loudest bands I've ever seen live, and It was awesome that they played "Toxic Garbage Island", they are definitely one of the best live metal bands out there right now, definitely a must see band. - 9/10 --- Atlas Moth setlist Coffin Varnish 25s and the Royal Blues Perpetual Generations Holes in the Desert An Ache for the Distance - Devin Townsend setlist Supercrush Truth More! Planet Of The Apes Lucky Animals Juular Grace - Gojira setlist Explosia Flying Whales Backbone The Heaviest Matter of the Universe L'Enfant Sauvage The Art of Dying Toxic Garbage Island Wisdom Comes Oroborus Drum solo The Axe Vacuity The Gift of Guilt --- I got the Atlas Moth vinyl signed by the band, got my copy of "L'Enfant Sauvage" signed by both Duplantier brothers and the bassist, and got a gojira pick. How much was The Atlas Moth vinyl? If they don't get stuck in the storm in NYC tonight, I'm planning on picking one up at the Pittsburgh show tomorrow.

My dream for a Resident Evil-style laser trap at venues remains alive...

>implying DTP gave a better performance than Gojira
And I thought Atlas Moth was ok, I didn't really hear anything special.

Quote:
DTP shirts were $15, so were their CDs, hoodies were $35 Gojira shirts were $20, CDs were $15, hoodie was $35, signed/used Mario Duplantier drumsticks $10, customized signed Gojira drum head $50. I think that's all the merch there is. |

I personally enjoyed DTP slightly more than Gojira, but I'm a massive fan of his, Gojira were intense and hell and sounded perfect, I enjoyed AM quite a bit as well.
