Glad Newsted were present for the Milwaukee show, they kicked ass!

Was anybody else here at the Milwaukee show? I got most of the setlists, except I didn't get the first song that Newsted played. I'm guessing it was one of the songs that's going to be on the upcoming album. as I'm 100% sure it wasn't on the EP. If anybody who was there knows what the song they opened was. please add it here-

I also didn't catch Black Label Society's set because I wanted a good spot in line to meet David Draiman, which I got. It was a true honor to meet him! But if anybody who was there knows the setlist Black Label Society played, you can add it here-

Ticketmaster has the first night of Gigantour in NYC as cancelled. Only August 7th remains as active now...I wonder if it wasn't selling well, I can't find any news on it.

They were handing out flyers at Mayhem yesterday for the show with Newsted and BLS, and last week in Camden they were advertising 10 dollar tickets

There's just too many summer package tours right now trying to cater to the same audience. Gigantour, Mayhem, Uproar and whatever the hell else that might be happening right now that i'm not aware of. A lot of people can only afford to pick one of these to go to and in the end ticket sales for all these tours are suffering.

Plus all those other tours has way more bands!

Also hasn't Newsted for now dropped off the tour?

No brainer to me. This is the only tour with good bands.

Sure Bodom, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, Mastodon etc. are alright, but not worth going specifically to see.

But otherwise, I'd take a line-up with Megadeth, BLS, and Newsted over every other package touring currently running in the US, even if it means putting up with Device in between. The Warped, Uproar, and Mayhem line-ups are pretty fucking awful.

If the running order worked out at Mayhem I might be able to fill my time with bands who don't offend my ears, but there's no chance of that at Warped, and there'd be massive gaps of boredom at Uproar. Especially if the two stages clash.

I see one tolerable band at Gigantour: Megadave, and that's not including the PooperCollider material.
