My goal for this weekend is to find the nearest theater that's playing World's End and watch the shit out of it.

I made it through about fifteen minutes of Smurfs 2 before my son wanted to leave. I was actually ready to leave after about three. What godawful garbage. I think the preview for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 scared him and he was done after that.

How Smurfs 2 made it to theaters is beyond me.

Updated list:
Overall movie list:
1) The Spectacular Now-9.5
2) Star Trek Into Darkness -9.0
3) The World's End-8.0
4) Monsters University-8.0
5)The Conjuring-8.0
6)Fruitvale Station-8.0
7)Elysium-7.5
8) This is the End-7.5
9) World War Z- 6.5
10) Man of Steel- 6
11)Pacific Rim-6
12)To Do List-6
13) Ironman 3-5.5
14) The Last Stand- 5

-The Spectacular Now was a fantastic movie with superb acting. So relate-able as well!

-The World's End was a very enjoyable comedy, action scenes were just repetitive.

I can't wait for that movie haha.

Saw Getaway with Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez today. Next to Scary Movie 5 this is not only the worst movie I've saw in theaters this year but one of the worst movies I've saw all year. It's all one chase scene start to finish, bland action, bland chase scenes, and shitty fucking story. No wonder the movie is already bombing 5 days in.

The more important part of the story is that it was the first time we ever took our oldest son to see a movie in a theatre. He's three. We were hoping he'd last a half an hour, and he did get restless after a half an hour. But he still sat there and watched the whole thing while other kids got a lot worse. And I don't really blame him for getting restless, it sucked. Maybe next we'll take him to see a GOOD animated movie.
My wife and I took our seven- and three-year-old sons to see it last weekend, and all four of us thought it was pretty good. We also liked Monsters University and Despicable Me 2. Turbo was just OK.

I fear that 2015 will be the nail in the coffin for superheromovies, sequels, 3D, remakes & reboots. I've made lists for 015 and next year, and these are the movies I look forward to:

2014:

X men: DOFP
Interstellar
Noah
Godzilla
Expendables 3
Animal Rescue
Cub (Flemish movie)
Out Of The Furnace (belgian release date)
The Wolf Of Wall Street (same)
American Hustle (same)

2015:

Batman vs Superman
Assasin's Creed
Jurassic Park IV
American Sniper
The Outsider
Killer Crow
Gone Girl
Thunder Run
Silence
A Most Violent Year
Bond 24

Speaking of 2013: MOS was ok (no more no less), and I quite liked The Wolverine.

Read. It says "belgian releases dates". Or maybe, "European".
