I wasn't hoping because the albums with Glaze sucked, and I didn't know that's what it would be, but I knew it wouldn't be what they wanted everyone to think it was because of the wording. You wouldn't separate "ex-Pantera singer" and "band" if the singer were reuniting with Pantera. It wouldn't make sense. You also wouldn't need to say both "Ex" and "former".
