Revocation aren't death metal, they're shitty thrash with really blatant metalcore influences. Easily the worst band there - worse than Periphery, even, which takes talent. Norma Jean is really the best band there.

Pulled this off FB.

Oh, man. Oh, man.

This shit is INCREDIBLE. Best bill they've had. Talk about catering to my tastes! I hope to fucking Vishnu that this hits SF while I'm in town and not a few weeks after I leave like it did in '12.

Revocation might be the perfect mixture of death metal, thrash metal, grindcore, crossover and old-school metalcore that has ever existed.

Yes!

I really hope Revocation does a headlining tour before or after this. I want to see them again, but I would prefer seeing them in a small room over seeing them on a big stage opening for bands I don't really care for.

I love Dillinger and all but, as everyone has mentioned, this doesn't feel death metal enough to be the Summer Slaughter lineup.
Yeah. There's only 8 bands here so I'm thinking maybe the Gojira rumor will end up being true and they are the other co-headliner. This lineup is really good imo. Yeah it's not the heaviest lineup ever, but it's whatever. I like all these bands save for Norma Jean and all the bands I've seen put on good shows.

Holy fuck this line-up is great. I love Dillinger and Norma Jean. But it won't feel like Summer Slaughter but it'll still be awesome.

I applaud Summer Slaughter for wanting to try something new, but they have to realize that they will lose soooo much money this summer. I think the most popular band here among their main audience is Animals as Leaders

Id definitely go(fingers crossed Gojira is still possible) did not expect Norm Jean(or Periphery for a 2nd straight year)

Anyone else thinking Animals As Leaders is billed waaaaaay too high????
