Lovelessness
Bison B.C.

I'm only at the second song and it has already crushed my expectations. Much better than the first two albums.

Awesome album, can't wait for Seventh Rule(I think?) vinyl reissue later this year.

Cauldron of the Wild
Witch Mountain

This sounds so immense on vinyl.

In the car on the way to the show on Saturday:

The EP
Smash Potater

One of my most listened to discs of last year.

Corrosive Audio
Minimum Wage Assassins

Sweet local grind band that played the show.

Darkness Descends
Dark Angel

One of greatest albums of all time.

Lights Out
Graveyard

This really can't touch Hisingen Blues.

I agree. I think Lights Out is really good and some songs have the potential to be truly amazing, but I feel like they should've waited another year and developed the songs more. Nothing as catchy as on Hisingen Blues.

The basic problem is the rock songs are all boring. The slower ones are all great; Slow Motion Countdown is fantastic.

I've had the album since August, but only really got around to listening to it in the last couple of weeks and was a bit concerned I'd fucked up and missed another year-end list contender (there have been two or three)... hadn't
