Top Ten Glam Metal Revival Albums
I know most people hear hate even the word "glam metal", but I just wanted to list my top ten favorite new generation glam metal albums. If you find something you like great,if not oh well.So hear we go.
Number Ten Is....... 10.Reckless Love-Reckless Love ![]() Tracklist: 1.Feel My Heat 2.One More Time 3.Badass' 4.Love Machine 5.Beautiful Bomb 6.Romance 7.Sex 8.Back To The Paradise 9.So Yeah!! 10.Wild Touch 11.Born To Tock Band They Most Resemble: Poison While Crashdiet is the Skid Row of the 2000's, Reckless Love is the Poison,so they are a turn-off for a lot of people, but since I like Poison, I do like Reckless Love, very much actually. What surprises me the most though is how these guys sound a lot like Van Halen and Def Leppard. When I try to compare them to other bands, all I can think of is Van Halen,Poison, and Def Leppard. Sure, this record has a lot of pop elements in it,but that's what it's going to take for rock to go back to top 40 radio (not that I care,it's just I can see why they have pop in there stuff). The only bad song on here to me is the oddly titled ballad Sex.Other then that, the album is great, with awesome rock anthems like "Born To Rock" and "Love Machine", and the Crazy Nights sounding "Beautiful Bomb".If you don't like glam metal though, this won't change your opinion a bit,it might even make you hate it more. Recommended Tracks: "One More Time" http://grooveshark.com/s/One+More+Time/2MTIv4?src=5 "Badass'" http://grooveshark.com/s/Badass/2MTIPp?src=5 "Born To Rock" http://grooveshark.com/s/Born+To+Rock/2MTLJh?src=5

Number Nine Is.......
9.This Might Hurt-The Treatment ![]() Tracklist: 1.Departed 2.The Doctor 3.I Want Love 4.Just Tell Me Why 5.D**k,F**k,F***t 6.Nothing To Lose But Our Minds 7.Shake The Mountain 8.I Fear Nothing 9.Winter Sun 10.Lady Of The Light 11.Road Rocket 12.Stone Cold Love 13.I Will Be There 14.Just Tell Me Why (Acoustic version) Band They Most Resemble: Kiss Some would argue that these guys are more straight up rock and roll,in fact,a lot of people would argue that. But when I saw them on The Tour, I was reminded a lot of 80's hair bands. They do in fact sound a lot like Kiss and Motley Crue alike, while also sounding like Aerosmith and Def Leppard. A really good combination as it seems, because this album rocks, and if it weren't for the unneeded acoustic version of "Just Tell Me Why", this would be a perfect album.Song's like "The Doctor" and "D**k,F**k,F***t", will remind you of the glory years of 70's Kiss and 80's Motley Crue. This is an album that EVERY rock fan, or even metal fan, should listen to. Recommended Tracks: "I Fear Nothing" "Shake The Mountain" http://grooveshark.com/s/Shake+The+M...n/3xhtKc?src=5 "The Doctor" http://grooveshark.com/s/The+Doctor/3xhtP2?src=5

Number Eight Is.......
8.Feel The Power-Blessed By A Broken Heart ![]() Tracklist: 1.Deathwish 2.Shut Up And Rock 3.Love Nightmare 4.Forever 5.Thunder Dome 6.Holdin' Back For Nothin' 7.I've Got You 8.Rockin' All Night 9.Scream It Like You Mean It 10.Skate Or Die 11.Innocent Blood 12.Sleepless Nights Band They Most Resemble: Dokken Probably the one that will get the most hate on this list, but I could care less. This album is EXTREMELY awesome, I have played it over and over and over again. The only bad thing about the album to me is the unneeded intro to "Holdin' Back For Nothin'", "Thunder Dome". I just love the guitar playing on this album,it's extremely good. This album almost completely gets rid of the metalcore influences (except on "Love Nightmare"),and for the most part they have gone full on glam."I've Got You","Rockin' All Night",and "Forever" would have been huge had they been released in the 80's.If I could compare them to other bands,I would honestly say a mix between Dokken,FireHouse, and Night Ranger, with hints of Dragonforce.Don't know why I think Night Ranger though, something about their melodic side just screams Night Ranger to me.If you like glam and don't mind a scream or two in a song,I would get this, and it could possibly appeal to the non-glam crowd as well,so just sit back and "Feel The Power". Recommended Tracks: "Deathwish" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=7KPbWMI8Efw "Rockin' All Night" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=nxIxqbpw1fQ "Scream It Like You Mean It" http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=CewCkdkljP4

this thread seems interesting... is it possible for you to include youtube links for your recommended tracks? for those of us who might not have youtube or itunes open to sample your recommended songs?
