New Black Sabbath is great. It definitely exceeded my expectations for what they could pull off.

The new Black Dahlia Murder is awesome as well, easily some of their best work yet.

I'm guessing that's your way of saying you really like their album?
You're right, it is a killer record. This is all pretty rough anyway, the order I mean.

I've recently become a DJ at my university's radio station. Right now I'm stuck doing regular rotation, the CMJ top 40 basically, but I've found a lot of cool stuff.. some of these albums I'll have to listen to in full eventually. Kurt Vile, implodes, wild nothing, hooded fang, TEEN, broncho, akron/family, the hussy, apricot rail, bazooka, still corners...

I'm in love with Cloud Rat - Moksha and 142 - Demo 12". Both are some really good grind releases.

Big fan of the new Sabbath and 40 Below Summer cd's. Both Top 10 for me at this moment.

Seriously need to see 40 Below Summer headline a show...

The new White Wizzard is fantastic. I only hope that people give the new lineup the chance they deserve.

The one song I heard from it wasn't that great, but Flying Tigers took a while to grow on me too (it's still nowhere near Over the Top though). I'm going to pick it up when it comes out, but I'm not nearly as excited as I was before.

The album as a whole is much more cohesive than Over the Top and Flying Tigers IMO. If you're going in looking for a single song better than 40 Deuces you're out if luck though. The album is a really strong start to finish listen, and the guitar solos are out of this world. Will Wallner's solos especially are basically orgasmic.
