Lamb of God -- Silver Spring, MD -- November 17th, 2012
Full review
SOLD OUT SHOW at the Fillmore in Silver Spring Sylosis sounded unremarkable IMO. Their set was done right as I got a beverage :/ I can't recall comment more on them. HATEBREED is still a great live band (sound so much better than the albums). Their energy level got most everyone PUMPED, and I wondered how In Flames was going to follow them. I mean I love In Flames, but they were facing a losing battle here IN FLAMES had a blinding light show, good sound, but weak set list. They def played second fiddle to Hatebreed. Even Anders said, on stage, that Hatebreed is a hard act to follow. Jeez. I woulda preferred some older songs, but that's me. LAMB OF GOD absolutely killed it. Def took Hatebreed's energy level and raised it at least 33%. 2 screens on stage played various animations and war footage. Appropriate yet sobering a bit. In any event they sounded great and I'm glad I didn't miss them this time. Shirts/merch was lame, unremarkable IMO. various skull jesters for In Flames, and I really can't recall the Hatebreed or Lamb of God shirts. Maybe a hoodie somewhere? Hatebreed set is all jumbled, I only know the last half is accurate. FFFFFFFFFFFFF Setlists: Hatebreed (7:42- 8:21) [approximate setlist- bolded they def played]
In Flames (8:40 ) (same as the other recent tour stops)
Lamb of God (10-11:18) (same as the other tour stops)

Maybe Hatebreed would be easier to follow if In Flames' sets weren't so milquetoast.

Sounds like a sick show. Wish this tour came closer than 4 hours from me.
