Motorhead -- Newcastle, England -- November 9th, 2012
Only caught a couple of songs from the first band, they were decent, they're called Diaries of a Hero if anybody is interested.
Anthrax set: 1. Caught in a Mosh 2. Fight 'Em Till You Can't 3. Antisocial 4. Indians 5. In The End 6. Madhouse 7. Got the Time 8. I Am the Law Anthrax were outstanding, you can clearly tell that they put a 100% effort into they're live performances. The whole band was spot on, I just wish they could play for a lot longer then they did. I've also never seen the Newcastle Hall City venue this full for a support band, they also got an even louder response to Motorhead, this basically says that they need to do a FULL UK tour. 9.5 Motorhead set: 1. I Know How to Die 2. Damage Case 3. Stay Clean 4. Metropolis 5. Over the Top 6. One Night Stand 7. Guitar Solo 8. Rock It 9. Sacrifice 10. The Chase Is Better Than the Catch 11. The One to Sing the Blues (With Drum Solo) 12. You Better Run 13. Going to Brazil 14. Killed by Death 15. Ace of Spades Encore: 16. Orgasmatron 17. Overkill Motorhead was great as usual, the sound was great for the most part, however it did dip every now and then though. I also think nobody at the venue could understand a word Lemmy was saying/mumbling, so everybody just kept responding with ''YEAAAAHHHHHHHHH ''. 8.0 So overall, a great night! |

This Motörhead set makes me skeptical of the previous Motörhead set posted yesterday.

It's not unusual for them to switch songs around for the first two or three nights of their tours.

I could understand a song or 2. But they don't seem like they are the type of band who would switch 4 or 5 songs within a night or 2.

I haven't looked to check, but from memory it's only 2 isn't it? I Know How To Die moved to opener, Sacrifice moved to mid-set?

Actually no I think you're right. I think they are a different order. I guess I didn't look as close.

When was the last time Anthrax played 10 or more songs in a set?
![]() Also, I had heard that Charlie Benante was not playing on this tour... confirmed?

Update: Charlie's temporary replacement is named Jason Bitner, the drummer of Shadow Falls, here's the source: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/..._arrested.html Last edited by TheClairvoyant; 11-09-2012 at 09:03 AM. |

Nope, it's Jon Dette.
Jason was for the US tour. He's busy doing SF now, but they had to cancel shows because Bittner has something wrong with his pancreas or something. |
