Yeah, but I've seen them nine times, like six or seven times headlining, so I want some variety, dammit! They're still gonna be fun as shit, but the short set is gonna be kinda lame.

They definitely do not have a larger following. I mean, Machine Head has seniority, but Dethklok attracts fans of not only the music, but the TV show as well. Plus, of course, Dethklok IS better anyway.

Also, what the fuck does that sticker say? It's also on one of the shirt designs and I can't decipher it.

I was there just in time for BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, and I also saw Machine Head.

Thought Machine Head's viking shirt was not really fitting in with their image/music. There were a ton of people there as the night went on. Sucks about the early start time, especially on a Friday in this area. Dethklok/Brendon Small and co sounded great.
Machine Head dedicated Aesthetics of Hate to that Suicide Silence guy, but they still had the Dimebag graphic behind them (I think they dedicate it to him usually?).

I'll have more detail later but here are the partial other setlists

Black Dahlia Murder
  • A Shrine to Madness
  • Moonlight Equilibrium
  • On Stirring Seas of Salted Blood
  • ?
  • Malenchantments of the Necrosphere
  • ? (Probably Funeral Thirst)

Machine Head
  • This Is the End
  • Imperium
  • Aesthetics of Hate
  • Locust
  • Halo

Is ATR direct support the whole tour or are the switching on and off with MH? I still can't understand why ATR is even on this tour.

I don't think MH is worth seeing anymore unless they play a full set, I've seen them twice, both were 30 minute sets, and I'd like to hear other than the same 4 songs live

Setlist fm says the other two Dahlia songs were What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse & I Will Return.

So probably legit.

So the MH set is the same as Mayhem if you sub "Beautiful Mourning" for "This Is The End"

Sigh

A shorter Machine Head set than I was expecting - does anyone know if they are rotating spots with ATR?
