My thoughts as well.

I can simply not get into Clutch at all, but they seem like a pretty solid (and popular) band, so I can understand the allure of touring as their support for a while. The Sword doesn't have to worry about booking anything - just go around playing short sets and chilling in cool places.

But those fuckers haven't played a single Canadian date in support of Apocryphon yet - which I really, really want them to do.

If I recall correctly The Sword have extreme difficulties crossing over the border. They had to cancel their Heavy TO/Heavy MTL 2011 dates due to this anyways and have not been back since to the best of my knowledge.

That was cuz their drummer didn't cross I believe. They changed drummers and have played Montreal and Toronto opening for Kyuss Lives in the end of '11 I think.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was just the fill-in drummer that had difficulties and he's been gone for a while now.

I know they've played in Vancouver 3 times, but haven't headlined here for a few years now.

I checked on this, you are correct they did return here in fall of 2011 after a drummer change up. Thank you for the correction.

Regardless they are long overdue for a headlining tour in Canada.
