Norma Jean -- Toledo, OH -- September 27th, 2012

I The Breather was the 1st band I saw. This was my 3rd time seeing them, and all 3 times I've sen them they have completely stolen the show! I really like these guys a lot. They had the crowd going bonkers for them, and they owned the night.

I The Breather setlist
Meaning
Forgiven
False Propfit
Bruised & Broken
The Common Good
High Rise

Norma Jean was next. They're one of my favorite bands in the genre, and they have a crazy live show. They played a solid set as always. To me it doesn't really matter what songs they play. I love all their stuff. My one sort of beef w/ them is that they often play just a minute or 2 of the breakdowns on certain songs. I don't really understand why. I mean, why not play the whole song? Or if they don't want to do that, then play different songs. I guess I just don't get it. Highlights were definitely "The End of All Things Will Be Televised," and then ending their set w/ "Vipers, Snakes, and Actors" & "Memphis Will be Laid to Waste." Great set!

Norma Jean setlist
The Shotgun Message
The Anthem of The Angry Brides
Blueprints for Future Homes
Charactarantula
The End of All Things Will Be Televised
Creating Something Out Of Nothing, Only To Destroy It (snippet)
Bayonetwork
I Used To Hate Cell Phones But Now I Hate Car Accidents (snippet)
Leaderless And Self Enlisted
Vipers, Snakes, and Actors
Memphis Will be Laid to Waste

Born of Osiris played next, and I always enjoy them, so it was cool to see them again.

A band I had never heard of called The Word Alive headlined. They were OK, but the show was running late, and I had to work the next day, so I left after about 30 min of their set. No big deal. I was there to see Norma Jean & I The Breather. Everything else was gravy. This show was well worth the price of admission for those 2 bands alone!

TWA headlined that show, for real?

I saw them here in Sydney where they were support for Acacia Strain & ETID, and were honestly nothing special at all.

Maybe BOO and TWA are alternating headlining slots, but BOO probably should've headlined b/c a lot of people left before TWA took the stage. I thought TWA was just OK. Not bad or good... just OK. I wouldn't necessarily try to see them again, but I'd watch their set if someone I like was touring with them.
