Elton John -- Vancouver, British Columbia -- September 13th, 2014

Okay, so this is not really metal. Feel free to delete or move it if need be, I don't mind. Thought some of you might want to see the setlist at least.

Sir Elton, being in his late 60's in age, sounded FANTASTIC at this point in his career. This tour was celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. Dubbed "Follow The Yellow Brick Road" tour.

His setlist included 8 tracks from said album, which is basically half of the songs on it. Not a single complaint there!

Included as well we're the obvious staples and a couple deep cuts for the fans as well.

Elton John still employ's the original drummer from his early days, Nigel Olsen. Who by the way, is a FINE drummer and backup vocalist. Also from his heyday, is Davey Johnstone on guitar who has played beside Elton for 41 years straight without missing a beat.

On bass I cant remember his name but I did read he was the low end for Satriani for a long time.

I am hearing this will be Elton's last tour too, sad to see him go but it's been a fun ride hearing his music through the years.

Here's the setlist for those curious, it was a 2.5 hour non stop spectacle.

-Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding
-Bennie And the Jets
-Candle In The Wind
-Grey Seal
-Levon
-Tiny Dancer
-Holiday Inn
-Philadelphia Freedom
-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
-Rocket Man
-Hey Ahab
-I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
-Oceans Away
-Your Song
-Burn Down The Mission
-All The Girls Love Alice
-Home Again
-Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
-The Bitch Is Back
-Im Still Standing
-Your Sister Cant Twist (But She Can Rock n Roll)
-Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting
-Crocodile Rock
-Circle Of Life/Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

Yeah I know, ending with Lion King material is a bit of a mood killer but whatever.

I saw Elton last year and I thought the Lion King ending was awesome. But he only played one of the songs. I think it was Circle of Life. I was really hoping he'd do Hakuna Mattata but then I remembered he didn't do that song.
