I LOVE THE MENTORS!!
I saw them play after Anvil last January at the Whisky in Hollywood, it was probably one of the funniest sets I have ever seen. God I love politically incorrect offensive humor.

I used to love these guys about a hundred years ago. It just wouldn't be the same seeing them without El Duce, though.

Still kind of boggles my mind that they still tour post-Duce, but whatever-- I guess there must be some type of demand...
I saw them in the summer of 1996 and Duce tried to play drums but wasn't able to/was too fucked up to, so Moosedick stepped in and they played a complete show. The opening band, Pit Boss, from Portland, was without their singer that night, so Duce stood up with them for about 20 minutes, 'singing'/rambling/impromtuing during their set. The set was billed as their 20th Anniversary show, and my buddy and I got to meet Eldon before the show-- truly something I'll never forget...
