This is the year of the onion motherfuckers.

They were certainly fun, but BIRDFLESH. Good fucking god, that was the most fun I've ever had during a band.

Impaled and Birdflesh were the most fun sets of the weekend.

And starting in September you're gonna have another friend out there

I'm so glad life's going well for so many people on here lately. Makes this forum so much more fun.

In other news, trying to get a tumblr page set up is way too difficult and people here are trying to shut down a Death In June show. As The World Turns.

Why? Also do they have like a cult following or something? I'm friends with the guys in Intronaut and Cattle Decap and they all talk about seeing DIJ and DIJ just played here and I only heard about it like the week before.

But I'm learning the words and vocal parts for Breaking The Law to do on vocals this weekend.

They're probably the most famous of the neofolk scene that sprung up in the early to mid 80's (alongside Sol Invictus, who might be most famous to metal fans for Agalloch covering them). The issue is that they for years used rather...questionable imagery when it comes to Neo-Nazism. In my opinion it was done much more for shock value than personal beliefs as he's a gay man that has collaborated with those of the Jewish faith and while even though it's incredibly stupid to try and shock people that way, I don't think it was in a way that bands like Graveland have. The punk community here is incredibly political (you will never see Phobia play a show in Pittsburgh) so any time there's an act with questionable ties there's always a scene.

Finished recording drums for my doom project last night
Feels so good to be done with it! Took me about 4 hours to get the final song down along with redoing the ending of another that I accidently played wrong
Going to record some samples of each drum and cymbal tonight/this week to send over to help make editing a bit easier if needed, but yeah... WOO!

5 songs, about 10 minutes average for each one . Have some label interest, so we will just see what happens from here! Really odd to record an album without a single blast beat on it
