I'm gonna completely avoid the whole ethics of piracy thing, but this is an important point to make. When I buy music, I develop a compulsory need to put time into it. I spent money on it, therefore I want to get my money's worth of my purchase. When I was pirating music as a wee lad, albums upon albums wouldn't even be listened to just because I felt zero motivation to give them a chance.

wildyoung may not have as much quantity in his library as some of us, but I'd be willing to bet he's given those songs more plays than a lot of people here have given the music they "own."

Agreed. I actually have a bit of a system where I give new bought albums a listening period, similar to how radio stations have things in their "new" category.

Of course, the problem is making time to listen to it after that period ends.

So I posted a while back about potentially being a legit audio engineer this summer. Well, looks like that gig got bumped up to today, I'm meeting with the company to make it official in an hour and a half. If all goes well, hopefully I'll get to work on further development of this glorious piece of enginerdery-

Saw a pretty good electronic duo tonight called Big Black Delta. One dude on electronics and vocals and a drummer. I tweeted about them and the drummer retweeted me - turns out the drummer is a founding member of Poison the Well and drummed (maybe drums?) for Trash Talk.

wat.
